Mduduzi P. Mathebula, professionally known as Mdu Bass, is a South African bassist, recording artist, songwriter, producer and performer whose musical journey began in 2002.
Inspired and mentored by the late Xoli Nkosi and legendary bass maestro Musa Manzini, Mdu Bass has developed a distinctive sound built on groove, soul and musical excellence.
With more than two decades of professional experience, he has shared stages and studios with some of Africa’s most celebrated artists while continuing to create music that connects, uplifts and tells powerful stories through every note.
